Job summary

Allied Universal® in Central Valley, NY is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol to safeguard clients across luxury retail locations. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, assist with access control, and provide exceptional customer service.

As an unarmed patrol officer, you will perform regular site patrols, observe activity, and report security concerns following site procedures. Prior customer service is preferred, and a valid guard license is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate personnel.

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a luxury retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.84 - $19.84 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Assist with maintaining a professional, welcoming presence in a luxury retail environment while supporting loss prevention and incident documentation requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
