Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Plattsburgh, NY to serve tenants and visitors, conduct patrols, and deter incidents.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Requirements include a NY Security Guard License, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Training and opportunities for advancement are available at Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail property, common areas, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Document incidents and patrol activities and communicate findings to leadership and site representatives.

As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Plattsburgh, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to visitors and tenants. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
