Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer - Patrol Driver for our De Soto location in Kansas. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

This full-time driving position pays $22.28 per hour, includes night shifts (various hours) and a path to career growth within Allied Universal's team.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen required by policy.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, including entrances, parking, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, reporting issues to leadership.
• Respond calmly to incidents, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts.
• Maintain professional presence to deter unauthorized activity at a technology-focused site.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, reporting unusual conditions and access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a professional presence in a technology-focused corporate location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
