**Security Officer**

_We are looking for qualified_ **_Security Officers_** _to join our Texas Health family._

**Position Highlights:**

Work location: Texas Health Burleson, 2750 SW Wilshire Blvd, Burleson, TX 76028

Work hours: Full-time Night shifts

**Department Responsibilities:**

- Provide 24/7 security services including vehicle escorts, patrols inside buildings and parking areas, and response to service calls.

**Qualifications:**

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- Associate degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or related field preferred.

**Experience:**

- At least 2 years in security or law enforcement preferred.

- Experience in healthcare or education settings preferred.

**Licenses and Certifications:**

- Valid Driver’s License Class C and insurability required upon hire.

- Texas Private Security Level 2 (CSO) certification required within 14 days of hire; Level 3 certification preferred.

- TASER Certification with annual recertification required within 60 days of hire.

- Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention (ACPI) training maintained annually, with 30 days to complete after hire.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

1. Patrol buildings and grounds to secure after-hours access.
2. Open and lock doors per schedule.
3. Escort individuals to and from parking areas.
4. Identify and remove unauthorized persons from premises.
5. Enforce parking policies and cite violations.
6. Ensure compliance with security policies.
7. Pursue and detain individuals involved in criminal activity.
8. Complete incident and offense reports, including narratives.
9. Provide directions within the facility.
10. Interact professionally with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
11. Assist with vehicle issues.
12. Patrol campus interior, perimeter, and parking lots.
13. Document observations and incidents accurately.
14. Report and escalate situations to Threat Management as needed.
15. Deliver excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and guests.
16. Greet all with courtesy and respect, following the 10/5 rule.
17. Provide directions and general campus information.
18. Transport and escort individuals to parking lots.
19. Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies.
20. Assess situations, applying de-escalation and appropriate force as necessary.
21. Activate emergency response codes when required.
22. Coordinate with emergency personnel (police, fire, EMS).
