Job summary

Allied Universal in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Security Officer - Full Time - Mornings to protect client sites across manufacturing and industrial settings. This role requires customer service, patrols, and quick incident response.

You will monitor access points, perform routine patrols, document incidents, and collaborate with site teams while upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Able to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Experience with computers/tablets preferred.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns, unsecured areas, and other security-related issues observed during patrols to the appropriate personnel.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time - Mornings in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a dynamic environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative values through teamwork, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
