Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Waterloo, IA. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and deliver customer service to employees and visitors at a manufacturing and industrial site.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and basic computer use. A background check and drug screening are part of employment requirements, with state/local licensing applicability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
