Allied Universal in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Security Guard - Patrol Driver for afternoon shifts. You will drive patrol routes, monitor facilities, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors at a manufacturing and industrial site.

This full-time position requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and the ability to lift 20 pounds. You will complete daily reports and coordinate with site leadership while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid drivers license, high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required; licensing as needed.

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, equipment concerns, and critical situations calmly and according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report unauthorized access attempts.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and patrol logs; communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver - Afternoons in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will drive patrol routes, monitor assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, report observations, assist with access-related needs, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, equipment concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Preferred: Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Preferred: Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
