Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for full-time morning shifts in Waterloo, IA. You will patrol manufacturing, warehouse, and office areas, maintain a visible security presence, and provide excellent customer service while following site procedures.

The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to pass a background check and drug screen, and comfort with using a computer or tablet. Starting pay is $19.25 per hour, with a standard day schedule and driving responsibilities

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license per Allied Universal policy requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds (preferred).
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Age: 19+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns, unsecured areas, and other security issues observed during patrols to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer - Full Time - Mornings in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
