• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs of security activities.
• Report hazards, unusual conditions, and property concerns to site contacts per procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Afternoons in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a driving unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will use communication and customer service skills to report security-related concerns and assist visitors and employees. Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, shipping and receiving locations, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports of security-related activities and incidents.
• Observe and report hazards, unusual conditions, and equipment or property concerns to appropriate site contacts in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
