Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard - Patrol Driver for 2nd shift in Waterloo, IA to safeguard clients across manufacturing and industrial locations. You will perform routine unarmed patrols, monitor access, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors, acting with integrity.

This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. The role offers full-time hours with a consistent schedule and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 19 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and responding to questions or concerns in a professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor and contractor entry procedures, and documenting arrivals, departures, and unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response protocols.
• Complete detailed reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation, and promptly communicate security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour
