Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Healthcare Response in Memphis, TN. You will patrol a healthcare facility, deter security incidents, and deliver courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff while following site policies and emergency procedures.

Daytime schedule with multiple shifts, starting pay at $17.91 per hour. Responsibilities include incident response, patrols, visitor management, and detailed reporting to site leadership.

Qualifications

• Be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and adherence to facility entry procedures while maintaining a courteous presence.
• Complete accurate reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
