Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Hospital Access in Memphis, TN to protect patients and staff while delivering outstanding service. You will patrol healthcare facilities, monitor entrances for access control, and report incidents clearly to site leadership.

Flexible day schedules include daytime and overnight shifts. Requirements include hospital work suitability, vaccination compliance, and a clean background; prior security or guard-card experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as directed, and documenting visitor or contractor activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Hospital Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas throughout a healthcare location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a caring environment through professional communication, customer service, and appropriate responses to security-related concerns, including sensitive areas and situations. What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
