Job summary

Allied Universal in Savannah, GA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time - General Duty. You will monitor, deter and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service to clients, employees and visitors.

This role requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. CPR/First Aid is preferred and you must be at least 18.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, parking and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, directing guests and reporting concerns.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, solution-focused manner and document observations.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and help ensure a professional environment on post orders.

Security Officer Full Time - General Duty in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies; verify credentials, direct guests, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, and support a professional environment through courteous interactions and adherence to assigned post orders.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
