Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards.
• Monitor and control access by verifying visitor, employee, and contractor authorization; maintain logs.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial recycling and manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, processing areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying visitor, employee, and contractor authorization; maintain accurate logs and provide directions as needed.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual observations in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
