Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time role in Savannah, GA. You will monitor access, respond to incidents, and provide courteous customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at an aerospace/defense location.

Strong communication, discretion, and the ability to follow procedures are valued. A high school diploma and at least 1 year of related experience are preferred; background check and drug screen may be required.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement or 2+ years of security supervision experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess access control/badge experience, preferred.

As a Security Officer Full Time in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor activity, support access control operations, and help direct responses to incidents. You will use technology to maintain accurate records, provide outstanding customer service, and help maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor and coordinate dispatch communications, receive calls for service, document requests, and relay information to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and activity records while handling sensitive information with discretion.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and report concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess access control/badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
