Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Console Patrol in Bessemer, AL. You will patrol, deter incidents, monitor access, and provide customer service to staff and visitors at a technology/media location.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; background check and drug screen. Alarm panel experience and CPR are preferred. Competitive hourly pay, with shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, campus grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by established procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly professional environment by reporting hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Console Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access and security-related systems, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
