Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by following site procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and access points to identify and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials according to site procedures; report access-related issues to the proper contacts.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, following established procedures and communicating with site contacts and first responders.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs using designated systems.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driver in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Tue: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Wed: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sun: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations in accordance with site procedures, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and communicating observations to site contacts and/or first responders.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications using required reporting systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
