Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Montgomery, AL. The role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $16.30 per hour. The position includes a fixed shift commitment and potential for earning extra by taking additional shifts, with the possibility to scale to up to 40 hours per week. Applicants will undergo background checks and drug screening where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required; driver’s license needed for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the premises and surrounding area.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and shift communications.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Monitoring in Montgomery, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout commercial office buildings, parking areas, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience using alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
