Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer – Patrol Alarm Console in Olive Branch, MS. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, assist with access control and alarm response, and deliver excellent customer service at a tech location.

The role is full time with a pay rate of $16.50 per hour. Schedule includes Daytime and multi-shift postings. Prior security experience is valued, and you must meet minimum requirements listed above.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will use computers or tablets to document observations, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, common areas, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access concerns or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
