Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Specialist in Gardner, KS to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and provide customer service at a manufacturing and industrial site.

You will conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and document access-related activities while upholding Allied Universal’s standards of integrity and service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Specialist in Gardner, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, conducting routine patrols, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue and retrieve visitor or contractor credentials, and maintain access-related records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including facility entrances, production-adjacent spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding shift activities, access concerns, incidents, and/or unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
