Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time Armed Access Control) in Richardson, TX. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and patrol industrial locations, while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide access control procedures and emergency response as appropriate.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges.
• Screen and direct visitors, vendors, and contractors per procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms, escalate per site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized access and report concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at an industrial manufacturing location, verify credentials and authorizations, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen and direct visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with established procedures, coordinating with site contacts when needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
