Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Access Authorization in Gardner, KS to safeguard clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access logs, and provide exceptional customer service while following site procedures.

The role is full-time with a schedule including evening shifts, and pays $19.00 per hour. The position requires at least a high school diploma and a background check; CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor and manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, maintain access logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with controlling access for deliveries, contractors, and vendors, while supporting compliance with site rules and documenting relevant security-related activity.
