As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Specialist in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a secure flow of people and deliveries. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and driver entry records, and help control access to restricted operational areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, coordinate entry procedures for deliveries and pickups, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
