Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Access Control HOA in Westlake Village, CA. You will protect residents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service within a residential community.

This role involves unarmed patrols, incident response, and logging observations in reports. Minimum requirements include 1 year of security experience, HS diploma, and a background check.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating issues to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security‑related observations accurately in required reports and logs.

You will support access control, respond to concerns, document observations, and provide professional customer service to residents and visitors. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
