Allied Universal in Memphis, TN is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time Access Control Desk. You will safeguard clients by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen; licensing may be required.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, employee entrances, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-control concerns, unusual activity, and/or facility policy violations.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
