Job summary

Allied Universal in Forest Park, IL is seeking a Security Officer for full-time unarmed patrol with radio operations. You will monitor, deter incidents, provide exceptional customer service to visitors and staff, and report activities according to location procedures.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and adherence to background checks and drug screening as applicable. This is a day-time schedule with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, members, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, parking areas, entrances, grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and event-related traffic flow, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
