You will patrol retail and cultural locations, deliver exceptional customer service, monitor access points, and deter security incidents through a visible, professional presence.

This driving position requires a valid driver’s license for driving duties and offers a flexible schedule with set shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted as required by laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, staff, and vendors by following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail, public gathering, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior or hazards per site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports while maintaining professionalism.

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Reporting in Forest Park, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will conduct routine patrols across retail and cultural locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.41 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, staff, congregants, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail, public gathering, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a customer-focused environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
