Job summary

Allied Universal in Forest Park, IL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to protect clients across cultural institutions and other sites. You will provide courteous customer service, monitor access points, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents on a shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Mon, Sat, and Sun.

The role offers an hourly pay of $17.41 and access to the Claim a Shift platform to adjust your schedule.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per federal, state and local laws.
• Background checks applicable per law; criminal histories considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, members, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical situations, disturbances, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report unusual conditions, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
