Allied Universal is seeking a Front Desk Security Officer in Lexington, KY to greet visitors, verify IDs, and maintain a welcoming, secure lobby at a higher education location. You will monitor access, respond to incidents, and log activities while upholding a people-first approach.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screens. Pay rate is $19/hour with a full-time schedule.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Tue 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM, Thu 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM, Fri 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM, Sat 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Maintain a professional front desk presence by greeting visitors, verifying identification as required, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate campus offices or locations.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and/or communication systems, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while providing clear information regarding site rules, directions, and available resources.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
