Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by enforcing site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Greet visitors, verify identification, issue visitor credentials, and direct people to campus offices.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communication systems; report unusual activity or maintenance needs.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, notifying campus personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain visitor logs, incident reports, and site rules information with clear directions and resources.

As a Security Officer Front Desk Security in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a higher education location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence while supporting a secure environment. You will monitor access, greet students, staff, and visitors, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with campus stakeholders. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Maintain a professional front desk presence by greeting visitors, verifying identification as required, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate campus offices or locations.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and/or communication systems, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while providing clear information regarding site rules, directions, and available resources.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
