Job summary

Allied Universal® in Springfield, OH is seeking a Security Officer Front Desk Access to provide a welcoming, professional front desk presence for a technology, media, and telecommunications site. You will verify IDs, manage visitor registration, and enforce access protocols while ensuring security procedures are followed.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Candidates must be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles), pass background and drug screening, and meet licensing

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming front desk presence at a technology, media, and telecommunications site while delivering customer service and following site-specific security-related procedures.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor registration, and direct guests, employees, and vendors per access protocols.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security systems from the front desk; report unusual activity and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, following site emergency procedures and communicating with relevant contacts.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, package, and incident records while supporting reception operations and other front desk duties.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
