Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – External Flex in Tucson, AZ for part-time, flexible hours. You will provide customer service to tenants and visitors, perform site-specific security procedures, and respond calmly to incidents and access concerns.

The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts, a pay rate of $17.80 per hour, and opportunities to grow into a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer - External Flex in Tucson, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun04:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, property‑related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting maintenance, lighting, or security‑related concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate incidents, observations, and required follow‑up information to appropriate personnel.
