Job summary

Allied Universal in Glendale, AZ is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Flex Guard. This role offers fixed-anchor shifts at a designated site with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings through our scheduling platform.

You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, follow site procedures, monitor access, respond to incidents, and perform patrols to maintain a safe environment while aiming for up to 40 hours per week when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with credential and entry requirements as assigned.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports related to incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.

As a Security Officer- Flex Guard in Glendale, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.62 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
