Allied Universal in Portsmouth, VA is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Officer for full-time coverage. You will patrol port facilities, monitor access, and maintain safety while delivering exceptional customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers.

The role requires a TSA-issued TWIC, a high school diploma, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. A Guard Card is preferred and a valid driver's license may be needed for driving positions.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, buildings, parking areas, gates, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor and report access-control concerns, unusual conditions, damaged property, and suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and patrol documentation and communicate with Allied Universal supervision.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

• Mon 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Thur 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Sun 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to port personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned port facilities, buildings, parking areas, gates, waterfront-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report access-control concerns, unusual conditions, damaged property, suspicious activity, and other security-related issues in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
