Allied Universal in Richmond, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to safeguard clients across government and other facilities. The role offers flexible scheduling via the Claim a Shift platform, with Friday and Sunday evenings.

You will perform routine unarmed patrols, monitor entrances, observe activity, and report security concerns while delivering professional customer service. You must hold a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, suspicious activity, and security-related concerns in accordance with site policies and applicable government facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation while communicating professionally with site representatives and the public.

Pay Rate: $17.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
