Allied Universal is looking for a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Panel in Ashland, VA to safeguard clients at a technology-focused corporate location. This part-time, unarmed role involves routine patrols, responding to alarms, and delivering excellent customer service while documenting observations.

You will work a daytime/evening shift schedule and earn $21.00 per hour, joining a team guided by integrity, teamwork, and community-focused service in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused corporate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and potential policy violations.
• Monitor access activity and visitor entry procedures, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence, professional interactions, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
