Allied Universal in Manassas, VA is looking for a Security Officer Part Time Access Integrity Patrol to safeguard clients across technology, media, and telecommunications sites. This role offers a flexible schedule with set day/evening shifts and opportunities to grow within a dynamic team.

As a part-time patrol officer, you will perform unarmed patrols, monitor entry points, assist visitors, and maintain detailed logs.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per law; drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, office areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; assist with badge verification and reporting suspicious activity.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports; communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, office areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with badge verification, directions, and reporting suspicious activity.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
