Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Hazard Reporting in Ashland, VA. The role includes patrolling, maintaining presence, and documenting observations to deter incidents while providing professional service to employees and visitors.

As a Part-Time position with a $19.00/hour pay rate, you’ll follow site-specific procedures, respond to alarms, and support a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required; licensing may be required by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with site representatives, employees, and emergency responders while following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
