Job summary

Allied Universal in Sparks, NV is seeking a part-time Security Officer Access Registration to manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain visitor logs at a logistics and distribution site.

You will deliver customer service to drivers and employees, respond to incidents, and follow site procedures while maintaining safety and compliance. Schedule includes Day and Night shifts as shown in the posting.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required; licensing may apply by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by following access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor logs.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate as needed per channels.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control access to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, dock approaches, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
