Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Weekend Access Control Security Officer in Las Vegas, NV. As a Part-Time officer, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and manage visitor access while delivering strong customer service.

This role supports transportation sites and requires clear communication and routine patrols as part of our security team. You will join a dynamic, community-focused company offering flexible scheduling, training, and opportunities to grow within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transportation personnel, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing authorized individuals and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering and exiting the transportation location, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
