Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time security professional at a McAllen, Texas site to support manufacturing operations. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors, monitor access points and verify credentials, and maintain accurate access records.

The role includes responding to alarms and conducting regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity. A HS diploma, background check, and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a manufacturing site.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access records; issue and collect credentials as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site access-control requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access records; issue and collect credentials as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
