Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking security professionals to join a dedicated team at a manufacturing and industrial location in Jackson, TN. The role focuses on protecting people and property, monitoring access, and responding calmly to incidents.

The position offers daytime through evening shifts with competitive pay and benefits. A background check and drug screen are required, with on-site facilities described as limited in amenities.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and communicate site entry requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and facility perimeter to identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate contacts and emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain records related to incidents, patrols, and access activity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and communicate site entry requirements in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records related to incidents, patrols, access activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
