Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Enhanced Patrol in Carroll, IA. The role offers flexible fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

You will provide customer service, perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents. This position supports up to 40 hours per week on a flexible, anchor-shift based schedule, with opportunities to grow into full-time roles.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Patrol in Carroll, IA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.91 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a food and beverage production location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entry and exit activity, verifying authorized access as directed by site procedures, and documenting visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
