Pay rate is $13.97 per hour, with a typical daytime shift from 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The position focuses on customer service, incident response, and site security procedures at a manufacturing/industrial location.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security procedures and emergency response at the site.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and report observations per site protocol.
• Conduct regular and random patrols across production, shipping, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor employee, visitor, and vendor access; verify credentials as needed.
• Communicate incidents and maintenance needs to Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Patrol Enhanced Part Time in Butler, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $13.97 / Hour

DayTimeWed04:00 PM – 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or vendors, verify credentials when required, and support access control procedures for restricted areas.
• Communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or operational issues that could affect daily site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
