As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Route Driver in Leesport, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

1. Security Experience:

   • Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience (C112). This experience should be documented and verifiable through previous employment or training programs.

2. Valid Driver's License:

   • All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the Australian Driver Policy Requirements (C123). A copy of the driver's license must be submitted as part of the application process.

3. Technical Proficiency:

   • Candidates should demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using computers or tablets (B204). This includes familiarity with basic software applications and the ability to navigate digital platforms effectively.

Job Schedule:

Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government residential care location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, patrol, and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with on-site personnel and emergency responders, escalating security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
