Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed) for a perimeter patrol role in Leesport, PA. You will provide customer service, deter security incidents, and perform routine patrols at a government residential care location.

The schedule includes weekend shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM; a valid driver’s license and at least 6 months of security experience are required. High school diploma and basic computer skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report unusual conditions per site procedures.
• Complete accurate logs, incident reports, and shift communications.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Security Experience

• Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience (C112). This experience should be documented and verifiable through references or previous employment records.

Computer/Tablet Proficiency

• Candidates must demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using a computer or tablet (B204). This includes familiarity with basic software applications, email communication, and internet navigation.

Valid Driver's License

• Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). A copy of the driver’s license must be submitted as part of the application process.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government residential care location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
