Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced to support a Bedford Park, IL site with dependable, part-time coverage. Anchored shifts offer stability, with the option to pick up additional hours as needed.

You will deliver client-facing security, patrol duties, access control, incident response, and detailed reporting, while training and advancement opportunities support your growth in the industry leader's program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Response in Bedford Park, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and exit of personnel, visitors, drivers, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and completely in required logs and reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
