Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Route Management in Chicago, IL. This role offers reliable, fixed hours at a designated site with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

The pay rate is $19.50 per hour, with a Tue 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM schedule and a pathway toward additional shifts as opportunities arise. Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old for unarmed posts and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background checks will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in line with site policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations, and actions taken.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Route Management in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Tue 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or other campus community members while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, reporting unauthorized access attempts and/or suspicious circumstances.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations, and actions taken.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
