Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer in Vance, AL. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchors and opportunistic extra shifts to boost earnings, ideal for building toward a fuller schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Position requires unarmed security duties, strong customer service, and the ability to operate at an automotive location with routine patrols and access control tasks. Pay is $16.50 per hour with comprehensive benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the automotive location, including parking areas, vehicle storage areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized activity or irregular conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations, activities, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns through visible patrol presence and timely reporting.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.
