Job summary

Allied Universal seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Birmingham, AL. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts across sites, designed to supplement income or grow toward a full-time security career.

Pay is $13.00 per hour with a schedule on Sundays from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Applicants must meet minimum requirements including HS diploma, background check and drug screen, and be at least 18 (21 for armed roles).

Qualifications

• Basic computer or tablet use preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; HS diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law; drug screen required.
• Licensing may be required; valid driver's license for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at site-specific security procedures and emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facility, loading areas, parking, perimeter and other areas.
• Monitor access points and report any unusual conditions to supervision.
• Document patrols and incidents according to site procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Support in Birmingham, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

$13.00 / Hour

Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe deliveries and departures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately in accordance with site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
